What do I mean by paying now or paying later?

Resume writing is essentially an art, most people can't sit down and just type out a resume and expect it to capture its reader's attention.

• It takes preparation
• It takes patience
• It takes time
• It takes selling yourself to a perspective employer!

If you haven't written a resume before, plan to spend 2 to 4 hours on it! Think of it as a "research project."

That's the part that's not free when you write a free resume - the time you spend doing it.

Don't get me wrong - there is great value in writing it yourself. However, you should measure the cost and see if the time spent outweighs the value in hiring a resume service to do it for you (we'll explore that idea later).
